ENGINE OF PAIN Seeking New Singer
October 23, 2008ENGINE OF PAIN, the Dutch thrash act featuring former AFTER FOREVER (1995-2000) drummer Joep Beckers, has issued the following update:
"We are searching for a new singer to implement the release our upcoming second album and also to promote that album after the release (interviews, gigs etc.). For the future a third album is planned as well. The songs for the second album are 90% finished but without any lyrics and vocal melodies. Think about a mixture of FORBIDDEN, FATES WARNING, ANNIHILATOR, IRON MAIDEN and NEVERMORE with heavy parts in between, lots of space for vocals and above all very melodic soloing. The new style is somewhere in the region of two previous recorded promo songs which you can hear at our MySpace page. There you also can find all info about the band.
"You don't need to have the same voice as the previous singer but we are NOT looking for a shouter, grunter, screamer, gothic etc. We are searching for a heavy metal singer who can sing melodic and who does have enough range and power. We prefer that you write your own lyrics. Basically, we are not looking for a project singer but a new (enthusiastic) steady band member.
"If you are interested or have any further questions, send your e-mail to [email protected]. Also, send your previous recordings (MP3 or link) as well if you have any, so we get an idea about your vocals."
ENGINE OF PAIN's debut album, "I Am Your Enemy", was released in January 2007 via Lion Music.
